Home Essentials’ founder Christopher Exline, a US national, has relocated to Kremenets from Hong Kong to personally oversee the establishment of the company in Ukraine, along with rolling-out the
Rest Assured Ukraine program.
Home Essentials will work with local governments and related agencies to identify those in need of mattresses.
Initial orders will be subsidized by the Company, but plans are underway to include charities, relief organizations and individual donors to participate.
The initiative has been welcomed by Ukrainian local authorities, especially the regional government of Ternopil.
The manufacturing and supply of quality mattresses has been one of the core strengths of the Home Essentials business since it was first established in 1997.
This component supports the primary business of Home Essentials which is furniture rental.

Despite the illimitable setbacks of the past fortnight, today, driven by a higher purpose AND a volunteer truck (ours’ broke down this morning) we delivered 150+ mattresses in rural villages.
Ranging from orphans to refugee students to the elderly, all possessed a common appreciation that made the legion of preceding issues seem trivial. Thank you. Because of you, they will spend this cold night on a new mattress.
There was a genuine curiosity as to why we were doing this. Sharing that people all over the world cared about them impacted them more deeply than visits to other areas had.
They enjoyed hearing about Hong Kong, Palm Beach, Amarillo, Dubai, London, Dallas, and Joplin.
When asked why someone from Joplin would care about her family, all I could say is that in the bleakness of this season, in the brokenness we all carry there are blessings in caring for others.
While we cannot understand why evil and tragedy lurk among us, we can experience grace when helping others know we are not alone.
It does not replace our own pain, but stepping out in compassionate assistance is a faith – a faith in a higher purpose that glorifies One and benefits all – even when that higher purpose is driven in a borrowed truck.
