New research in the making: are you an expatriate or know someone who is? If so, we need your help 🙏

If you are serious about Global Mobility you know that the journey home is just as important as the journey out. But while expatriation gets almost all the attention, repatriation remains undervalued and under-researched. We want to change that.

So: are you – or do you know – someone returning from an international assignment? Then this is your chance to have your perspective shared!

In collaboration with Lena M. Fischer of Friedrich Schiller University Jena, we are launching a new academic study here at Newcastle University Business School focused on the expatriate experience, especially the return journey home.

Whether you are a Global Mobility professional working with assignees or an expat yourself, we would love your support in finding participants ❤️

Who can take part?
✔️ People on an international assignment for at least 6 months
✔️ Planning to return home soon
✔️ Willing to kindly share an hour of their time in an online interview (English or German)

Why participate?
– You are supporting top tier research on an important topic
– You get early access to the results
– You can share experiences, expectations, and challenges of returning
– You can make a difference in improving the entire assignment cycle

👉 Interested? Check the flyer below and get in touch with Lena for more details.

Thank you for considering this!
