💡what steps HR professionals need to be taking to ensure the comfort and respect of their global workforce using English and French as second languages.

Hi Edwin,

Last week you received an email explaining the chasm that we’ve discovered this year working with EAs across the country and executive level management. There is a disconnect between tasks that are assigned to staff who plan meetings and events and the necessary training to support upskilling these individuals.

Most HR and Learning and Development departments focus on leadership, strategy and communication. Unfortunately, they do not offer training for staff in the critical areas of meetings and events that can adversely affect business outcomes, thus everyone loses. Management loses in various ways. For example, meeting vision and objectives may not be achieved to their fullest extent. Vendor contracts and agreements may not be optimally negotiated from cost, insurance, & safety perspectives. Thus, increasing the risk of damage to the company’s reputation and bottom line. Companies may not allocate staff the time and resources they need to be in a position to successfully plan and execute meetings & events.   You can change that by requiring – and supporting – your team and staff to take training in this critical area.

Recently, an untrained individual was assigned to plan a meeting for a major Wall Street bank. Management did not fully comprehend how unsure she was about planning this event as it involved customers and key management of the institution. When cancellations occurred due to weather conditions and key people could not attend, over $50K was lost due to inadequate protection on the contract agreements. This is only one example of many that happen every year.

Visit the Certificate website today and download the Certificate Summary now to get a synopsis of the program and all the content. I am asking you to address the disconnect where Management is required to take training and given the TIME to participate and support staff is not. Give your EA and support team the same opportunity and I assure you that you will reap the benefits again, and again.

Use Coupon Code DDCP1 when registering for the Certificate program or an individual module to receive a 15% discount.

Any questions? My email is dd@diannedevitt.com . I welcome your inquiry so we can design the right package for your needs. Special Corporate Pricing packages are available for volume purchasing. And, as I stated previously, I guarantee you will be pleased with the outcome.

Thank you for your attention to this opportunity. I am passionate about training and believe in education vs. acting on fear and taking risks.  Please pass this along to anyone who you think would benefit.

Wishing you a Happy Holiday season,

Dianne

Meetings aren’t the problem—

Bad meetings are:

Unfocused, unproductive, and overloaded
schedules are killing team morale.

The truth:

Most meetings don’t need to happen.

71% of meetings are unproductive.
47% say meetings are a waste of time.
45% of people mentally check out.

What’s the cost?

Lost focus
Wasted time
Frustrated teams
Missed decisions

Here’s how to stop the madness:

Start with a clear agenda.
Only invite necessary people.
Start and end on time.
Stick to the topic.
Assign clear action items.

The best meetings drive real outcomes:

Decisions
Collaboration
Problem-solving

Everything else?

An email will do.

Imagine what your team could accomplish
with fewer, better meetings.

Less time talking.

More time doing.
