The Best Research Contribution award is for contributions to global people management research and thought leadership. Innovative contributions which have practical implications, impact and contribute to advancement of knowledge or theory.
Judges’ Comments:
Dr Sue Shortland, Head of the Judging Panel and Senior Lecturer in HRM at the University of Westminster presented the award.
The judges explained why Heather De Cruz-Cornaire won the award,
“It is clear from this research that understanding the challenges faced by globally mobile families and responding to them via policy and practice can be successfully supported by in-depth research providing detailed qualitative data.”
“This is an extremely interesting piece of research that demonstrates in particular, the value that coaching can make to assignment success. A low cost intervention can result in an improved assignee and family experience leading to positive outcomes”.
